  This store is filled with amazing ‘kid powered’ toys. It took all my strength not to buy everything.

  A fantastic if somewhat cramped toy store. The staff is helpful, the selection is astounding, and the quality top-notch. Education toys, silly things, Legos, odd science-y things, and...guitars? Model planes?
  This place is a blast to wander in, but only when it's not busy. If there's more than five people in here, it's a pain to move around without bumping into everyone.
  A Brookside fixture for sure. And definitely one of my two-year-old's favorite places on the planet.

  If I didn’t have this amazing resource each Christmas, I would be in trouble. The staff is extraordinarily well equipped to guide an ignorant adult who hasn’t had much contact with small children. The store is full of marvelous choices and the experts on staff offer insights for pretty much any need.

  This is such a neat place. No matter how busy they are, the staff are so helpful and friendly. This is my number one spot to get unique gifts for the fun people in my life. They do free gift wrap during the holidays too (not sure if other times as well?). The prices are a bit high on a few things, but overall it's mostly reasonable. To me it is worth paying a little more for a unique gift with excellent customer service.
  On a side note:
  I'm from a small town with nothing but small, family owned businesses. I've seen too many small businesses expect people to automatically go there just because it's a small business without understanding what competition is. Brookside Toy and Science deserves every dollar they earn and every 5 star review. They go above and beyond 100% of the time in my experiences.

  Brookside Toy and Science is one of those delightful places you find in the "cool" neighborhoods. It's an eclectic store where a person can find animal skulls, Lego sets, and a surprisingly decent collection of lab glassware. The prices are reasonable and the kitsch is worth the visit. You don't have to be a kid to have a good time, but if you're young at heart you can while away an hour or two just exploring.
